The University of Tennessee, Knoxville has been named one of the Top 50 Best Value Colleges for 2025 by The Princeton Review. This marks the first time a University of Tennessee institution has received this distinction, and UTK is the only college from Tennessee included on this year’s list.
The ranking evaluates colleges based on factors such as academics, affordability, and career preparation. UTK earned a return-on-investment score of 89 out of 99, reflecting the university’s strong performance in helping students succeed both during and after college.
The Princeton Review’s methodology includes data from more than 650 colleges, as well as student surveys and alumni feedback gathered by PayScale. These insights reflect key outcomes such as starting salaries, mid-career earnings, and job satisfaction. Students at UTK highlighted the university’s supportive academic environment, with resources like the Academic Success Center helping them stay on track.
Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief at The Princeton Review, noted that the schools on the list provide outstanding academics, top-tier career services, generous financial aid, and a consistent track record of student satisfaction and success.
This recognition reflects the University of Tennessee’s continued commitment to delivering a high-quality education that prepares students for life beyond graduation.
